Just a question - who’s excited about the new X-Men movie? Working at a newspaper like I do, I got to read all of the Associated Press reviews ahead of time and I’ve heard both good and bad. I’ve heard that the things that made the other X-Men movies great (Specifically, storyline and character development) are missing because of the new director, but I’ve also heard that a lot of the conflict makes up for it (conflict, not fight scenes).
Candice, myself, and a few others are going to see it tomorrow and I’m just wondering if anyone else is as excited/wary as I am.

Just an answer - I’m friggin’ stoked.
FYI: The guy who directed the first two X-men films went on to direct Superman Returns.

The word OD (read: overdose) comes to mind when I think about X3. It’s like they REALLY want people to see this movie (and like it). I don’t know anything about this new director, so I’m pretty skeptical about its potential success. There’s a greater degree of action compared to both films combined, so that’s a big plus right there.
So far, the past flicks (The DaVinci Code, MI:3) I’ve seen have all been enteraining so here’s hoping it doesn’t disappoint.

Yeah. This time around, we got Bret Ratner. The guy who made “Rush Hour” and like.. every rap video ever made.
This should be entertaining.

To the best of my knowledge, even Bret Ratner won’t touch Eminem.
Well, we’ll see. *is wary*

Like I was saying earlier — they’re pimping this flick like crazy. I see a trailer like every 10-15 minutes. It BETTER not suck!!!

Oh man, I didn’t realize they had changed directors. As an old school Uncanny X-men fan, I’m excited to see the new mutants that will cameo. And the all out mutant battle looks tight.
Everytime I see the trailer, I go dig out some old issues and start reading up. Man X-men really was my comic of choice all throughout middle school and even high school. It’s gotten so out there now, I haven’t been able to get back into it, but definitely the old John Byrne/Chris Claremont issues are my favorite.
