Dead or Alive sticks everywhere rejoice, you're still the only option for Xbox 360 owners.

It looks like those wishing to profit from their Dead or Alive sticks will have another month until any competition arrives. The Hori-produced limited edition Virtua Fighter 5 stick has been delayed until early September. The stick cannot be pre-ordered from EB/Gamestop stores (according to 2 stores that I called), so you have to order it online.

With the Capcom remakes, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, as well as Virtua Fighter 5 and LIVE games such as Streets of Rage 2 (Yay!) on the way, let's hope the date won't slip any further. A lot of us prefer to use arcade sticks for much more than just fighting games, especially considering how horrible the 360 d-pad is.

Now here's a bit of news I bet you didn't expect to be unveiled during E3. The backwards compatibility team just sent out the latest listing of Xbox games which are now compatible to play on the Xbox 360. Outrun, Morrowind and Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders are FINALLY playable on 360. Believe it! Fighting fanatics will be especially delighted that Guilty Gear XX #Reload and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 were included in the update. Reports are going around that MVC2 is a graphic glitz fest which would practically make its availability on the 360 rather useless if its unplayable. The real question is though… where's Capcom vs. SNK 2? I am sure it can't be too far behind. *sigh* C'mon guys — I am sure no one would miss The DaVinci Code over an opportunity to bust out some fisticuffs.

By now, you've all had a chance to catch Nintendo's amazingly underwhelming conference and we're just moments before the final press conference goes down. In the interim, I stumbled upon some awesome videos created by a few talented Shoryuken.com/SonicHurricane members. The site reports that a special Guile Exhibition will be featured at this year's Evolution tournament in Las Vegas. They've been working on the production over the past year and every fighting enthusiast planning to attend will be treated to an exclusive showing on the big screen!

To whet everyone's appetite, SRK offer a small sneak peek of what's to come. EVERY fighting fanatic needs to check this out. And while you're there, be sure to look throughout the rest of the combo collection created by the SonicHurricane.com crew.

T. HawkYou know the drill by now — Capcom Digital has released another update, revealing the first official sneak peek of the Native American fighter, T. Hawk. I must say, his revision is sooooo much better than his traditional sprite design. In addition, Rey unveiled a slew of new details which addressed some recent concerns of the community (i.e. Chun Li's design, aspect ratio, and even something that I've personally missed in the commentary: custom quotes? Hmm… pass!).

And that's not all, if you loved the first edition of the SSF2T: HD Remix informal developer diary (sorry, I don't think they have an official term), there's a new one on the site dedicated to Sagat who apparently has presented some challenges to the team. Read up (via the jump link below), there's some good stuff there that's begging for your attention.

You can all stop working on those homebrew joysticks because Hori has plans to brings its latest joystick to the U.S. According to Play-Asia, the Fighting Stick Wii will be released in Japan this August, followed by an “planned” release stateside. If you’re wondering why this stick is in production, there’s an upcoming fighting game which goes by the name Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core (the first of many 2D/3D projects I hope). For those of you who can’t wait, the import model can be purchased at the website for the wonderfully low price of $52.90. (Thanks George!)

Awesome news, but it’s going to be difficult for me to consider playing without my DOA4 stick. Has anyone out there bothered to create the first 360-to-Wii adapter yet?
