Man, I need to pay more attention to upcoming gadget releases. Today, I happened to stumble across an article at MyGamer that offered a small spread on a new peripheral from Sony called… mylo.

Yeah, mylo. *points to pic below*

The article piqued my interest enough that I was prompted to go search the web for more details. Lo and behold, Endgadget was naturally on top of it as seen here. Here’s an excerpt:

“The name refers to “my life online,” ahem, which we assume probably has a little something to do with the Sony’s old school MYLO / My Life Online, a wireless service Sony launched launched at PC Expo 2001 “to offer mobile users an original and personalized way to access information and entertainment content for work and play.” (Yeah, that’s specific.)”

Hm… so it looks like Sony is looking to tap into the Blackberry, Palm, and Sidekick market. No, it doesn’t play games… well, not the UMD format anyways. It looks pretty sexy, but I’m not prepared to fork over $350 for something like this just yet. Besides, it’s missing a few things that would ultimately win me over…. oh, like MP3 functionality… it doesn’t take pictures and there’s no video-recording support? (If those features are included — either article would’ve mentioned it by the way).

Unholy abominations is right. I’ll wait on PSP2.
